I hope that in this post I can give you three tips on how to stay motivated to consistently keep going to the gym!!! Let’s stay motivated together.

1. Having a Gym Bro to Keep You Motivated.

While this first point on how to stay motivated may seem overly talked about, trust me it is essential. Now I know that many of you have heard of this way for staying motivated, but I can guarantee most of you don’t actually have a gym bro and it may be causing you to lose focus on why you started going to the gym in the first place. My gym bro is my brother, who actually got me going to the gym and still to this day gyms with me on a regular basis. While we don’t work out together all the time, it is nice having someone to send gym pics to, videos, meal plans, and to have friendly competitions with. So, while you may not want to be working out with someone all the time like me, at least have someone you can share your gym experience with.

2. Don’t Be Taking Daily Progress Pics.

What I mean by (don’t take daily progress pictures) is that whenever you go to the gym snapping a daily picture of yourself after all your work outs. My reason behind saying this is because day by day you will not see any physical results to be proud of and it will discourage you from thinking of the gym as a worthy activity. As human beings we like to weigh whether an activity is worth our time. So if you aren’t seeing results and are putting a great deal of effort into working out, you will get discouraged, just like I did. What I would recommend is taking a progress picture once a month from when you first started, and I promise that as long as you are going consistently you will see results. Trust me on this please!

3. Don’t be comparing your progress with others on social media.

This is something that I know a lot of people out there need to hear and that is, you are never going to look exactly like your influence, whether that be an actor, fitness coach, or other sort of celebrity. Trust me on this, you can look similar but never the same, so don’t keep trying to have exactly what they have physically. However, be careful not to confuse what I am saying with don’t have any influences, but I do believe that you should have an influence to look up to and keep you motivated, just don’t depress yourself by wanting to have physically exactly what they have.

Conclusion.

I hope that these three tips on how to stay motivated to consistently keep going to the gym are helpful for you.
